Being a big fan of the TV show The Walking Dead, there is one thing that puzzles me. Where are all the cats and dogs?!? Did the Zombies eat them? Did they eat themselves!? Or are they all just hiding!? But what I am going to suggest might well scare you a little, because what I say is that cats everywhere are already turning and nothing can stop them…

10 – Beware they could be hiding inside any box no matter how small it looks!

FACT: The first modern conceptions of zombies began with a voodoo religion in the West African Yorubi tribe and then travelled with captured slaves to the Caribbean island of Haiti way back in the 1700’s!

6 – Sitting on the zombies is not an effective way of keeping yourself safe.

FACT: It is often believed that George Romero’s zombie films are not actually about zombies at all, the main story and point to the films is about how groups of human beings react in crises and the racism at the time the films were made!

5 – They might look slow, but trust me when I say….RUN!

FACT: A Zombie virus is just a silly story idea right? Well maybe not, because there is a parasitic fungus that effectively turns ants into zombies!  Scientists found that the fungus synchronizes several ants to bite down simultaneously on the underside of a leaf and then die effectively turning them into brain-dead Zombies!

4 – This is the classic zombie stance, GO FOR THE HEAD! …but watch the claws.

FACT: According to the original Haitian folklore idea of zombies, all you had to do is to feed salt to a zombie and that will restore the person to freedom! But sadly it also says that if you were already dead before becoming a zombie you will again return to the grave!

3 – Don’t forget that it might be a zombie kitten!

FACT: Such was the strong belief in the original zombie stories there is a law in Haiti that makes it a crime to turn someone into a zombie!
