The humble pedal bin is an invention I have grown up with, but maybe I am a skip rat at heart because as a child I remember always being told off for playing with it. Lid open, lid closed and then the talking bin routine. If only I had grown up with one of these amazing kitchen bins…

If you are looking for a pedal operated bin that can hold over 1 million tonnes of rubbish then this is the one for you. OK, so it might not be able to hold quite that much, but who cares! It looks like the Tardis and has a flashing light on the top that works when you put your foot on the pedal. That is good enough for me.
