  3. Hi there, just wanted to say, I loved this post as I love waffles. Number 5 is the recipe I will be trying.

  4. I would love to taste the Pumpkin with Maple Syrup and the Blackberry one – I like my waffles without a lot of stuff. When the syrup goes into the waffle, it is so good – not necessarily healthy but oh so good!

  5. Because of a medical condition, I’m supposed to be careful about what I eat–however, there was this chocolate cake that kept calling my name on Thursday. I had it for lunch. It had me for the rest of the night and half the next day. 🙂

I received a lot of help from a nutritionist who was into wholistic health, so when I say that a waffle with cream cheese icing isn’t the healthiest thing this side of a ripe organic peach, it’s because of her assistance over several years, and a stomach that isn’t fond of Crisco.

  6. To be honest, I really enjoy the healthy posts. The cakes post are excellent, but the secret is in the unusual. So keep them interesting and as I said the unusual always gets it. Your posts are always so well thought out that it’s always fresh and interesting. However check those stats to see what is working. Ivan

  7. They do look yummy, but nothing about these waffles is healthy. Healthy isn’t a word I generally hear with the words “fried, breaded, syrup, or contains sugar.” The one that made me want to run out and buy the ingredients was the pumpkin waffle with maple-walnut syrup. Thanks for the eye candy.

  8. That’s the plan! We have five weeks away, in Singapore, London, Bruges, Brussels, Cologne, Wuerzburg and Frankfurt. I might even have a few more top ten posts of my own at the end of it!

  9. I love the sound of the lemon waffles at number 10. I haven’t ever thought of savoury and waffles in the same sentence before though, so I’m not sure about some of these. The chocolate and red velvet ones sound intriguing. In a few weeks I will be in Belgium and somehow I doubt their waffles will be as healthful as these are.

  10. The Chili and cornbread waffle stacks look good. I think I would have to try them all though just to find out which ones I like.

  11. Chicken and waffles are big over here – you can order them on most breakfast cafe menus – and we even have some fast food chicken and waffle restaurants. Of course, our chicken is fried, always, but that’s a nice lo-cal take on a standard! The pumpkin waffles look delish!

Which one did you like?
