Tis the season to be jolly. But some people don’t do feeling jolly but do still want to celebrate Christmas. So what some people do is decorate their Christmas trees and houses in their own dark and scary style, but with a festive twist. And it is those kinds of people who made these…
10 – Mr Munch
It seems that it doesn’t take much to make a Christmas tree look a little scary. But the witches hat really finishes the whole effect off rather nicely.
9 – The most famous of nightmares
Tim Burton’s movie Nightmare Before Christmas has a lot to answer for, bring a Gothic style to many a Christmas period. Much like this Jack Skellington themed Christmas tree.
8 – Christmas in Hell
This is Hell Pizza and it’s a New Zealand-based pizza chain that likes to do things a little differently. Full marks to them for effort though.
7 –Back to basics
If you thought number 1 was simplicity in scary tree form this one will blow you away! Adding just 2 eye-ball baubles makes this tree look rather menacing indeed.

6 – Catmas Tree
This has been around the web more times than a Grumpy cat meme, but it is still one of the best scary Christmas works of art I have seen. Whoever come up with this has serious cat issues.
5 – They’re creepy and they’re kooky!
I could definitely imagine this in the Adams family house. Sadly there will be far too many people reading this who have no idea who they are. But needless to say, they were an odd family, to say the least.
4 – Shadow Christmas
I would imagine this would project some very scary images onto the walls of whoever’s home this is located in. Once again I think Tim Burton has a lot to answer for.
3 – Hand Outs
Where do I even start describing how weird and scary this tree is? It would have also made it into my post “10 sad Xmas Trees” as well. I wouldn’t want to open any of those presents on the floor that is for sure.

2 – Feed Em!
This is going to be one tree kids would wake up screaming about! But I do have to wonder how many Elves he would have to eat to poop out a PS4 for myself?!?
1 – Reach out and touch me
Just when you thought you had seen it all this amazing (if a little creepy) art installation by LËNW comes along.
