Most of us might not have heard about it, but there are an awful lot of people who play it. (I am not one of them, far too busy blogging!) But for those who don’t know it, Minecraft is a sandbox style video game that allows people to create almost anything as long as it is made from blocks. Which means it is not that hard to make themed food for a party…

Made from simple rice Krispy squares with a bit of piped green icing on the top they are not too hard to make. Which is a really good job because there is no recipe or making guide to go with them.

In truth, it is not just animal cookies you could make via the method shown in the link, but anything that comes from the Minecraft universe. Even Steve and a dirt block manage to make it into the make list.

Looking more like the dirt blocks than the grass ones I think they are supposed to be means these homemade Oreo cookies are not ranked as high as I might have liked. But then again I have never played the game so they could be anything!

Not having played the game I am not sure exactly what a creeper is. But that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate a good pancake themed to look like one! No making guide to this in the link, but there are some great Minecraft party ideas.

It seems that even the water is square in Minecraft, but it does mean that all you have to do is cut some blue jello (Jelly here in the UK) into cubes and it will look exactly the same.

Sorry for the amount of creeper themed foods, but that is what most people have made. But these are made in a factory meaning they are perfect and ready to go for that Minecraft themed birthday party. Just take them out the packet and place them on a plate.

When it comes to the main cake for that Minecraft themed party there are loads of designs out there to choose from. But I decided to go with this one that is made up of 86 square cupcakes with various frosting on each. Perfect for take-home bags and main display cake. If there was even the smallest of making guides this might well have been my number 1.

As far as I know, it is against the law to have a party without a pizza selection in it, but why not go the extra mile and make one of these amazing snack sized ones. I am sure most of us will not need it, but if you do there is a making guide to follow along within the link.

Not only do you not need to do anything to these Snyder’s Pretzel Snaps (they are little 3 square x 4 square rectangular pretzels) but they also look exactly like the trapdoor block! Very strange indeed, or maybe they were modelled on them!
