FACT: Michael Bay actually hated Transformers toys and cartoons growing up, and he almost turned the film down calling it “a stupid toy movie.”

FACT: For the scene where Scorponok bursts out of the sand right on the heels of the soldiers was considered too expensive to do with CGI so it was done by detonating over 20 meters of primer cord under the sand.
