  1. The only problem with fake ice-cream cupcakes rather than real ice-cream is that in the summer they wont cool you down!

  2. I can die for any of those. A good weekend to succumb myself with some ice-creams.

  3. It’s definitely the 99 special for me, but as your number 1 choice comes with instructions, I might have a go at making these. Great blog, and it really made me smile. Thanks for checking out my blog as well 🙂

  4. Oh my this was so long ago. Mine was probably some type of frosting, They just weren’t as beautiful as most of these. I think I got the idea from Family fun magazine before all the internet tutorials and help. Before this stuff was the norm and kind of odd to other people. I have always been one to try “out of box” things to make people think I am rather eccentric.

  5. Sald I do have a habit of posting unhealthy rubbish. I am trying to post healthy foods, but when I start the post it always seems to end up unhealthy and cake related!

  6. Good grief, I really have to stop coming here. I’m gonna have high blood sugar just looking, Not to mention the temptation of wanting all that yummyness. 😉 Those lemon meringue ones are to die for I’m sure.

  7. Yeah they are definitely a little odd, but they are just supposed to be a bit of cupcake fun, you don’t have to like them at all. I just appreciate you taking the time to read all my posts!

  8. The 99 special is for me. I love the idea of a cupcake in an ice cream cone. I do not like a hard outer shell so many of these won’t work for me. Just my opinion though.

  10. The cake batter was poured directly into the cones and baked. The cake puffed up a little to create the head shape. Then I applied black frosting on the top and used gummy worms for hair that dangled down over the edges. I don’t remember what I used for eyes and mouth… some sort of candy. I saw the idea in a magazine and all it took was a little time, but it was well worth the effort as they were quite impressive. It was fun to see the kid’s reactions.

  11. I did actually make a batch of monster cupcakes-cones one Halloween for my son’s 4th grade classroom party. They were a big hit with the kids and the parents, too. 🙂

  13. Oh noooo Russell..that is not fair at all! Not fair! I am on my way to bed as it’s already past 12 here and now I must look at these yummy and delicious ice-creams! And it’s winter here too! Brrrr…LOL! Love the post and thanks for the icy dreams I am going to have! hehehehe

  14. Caturday is tomorrow and for a treat I will let you decide which one I post. Your choices are (cryptic keywords only)… paint, eyes or water. So which do you think you would want to see?!?

  15. Me.
*pops back from the freezer with an ice cream*
    I read this post.
*runs back over to the freezer, puts ice cream back*
    I return and start to re-read this awesome post. Again…and again….and again…
    *drools over keyboard*

(all the above. True fact. I’m SERIOUS. Well. Actually. Ignore the drool part…)
    🙂

  16. Or….make them with ice cream on top instead of cake creme! Now that would be amazing, what are they called….arctic rolls! (sounds like a future top 10!)

  17. I was getting all excited thinking ice cream. I’m sitting here melting in this HUMID 95 degrees and you send me cake. Sigh. Oh, alright, I’ll take the cake and pretend! Yummy! 😉
