Gran Canaria is one of the best tourist destinations in the world. There are many things to do at any time of the year. Anyone who goes there will find it enjoyable to stay there. If you are planning to travel and do not decide what to do, here is a list of the best options.
You will live your whole stay with the comfort of being at home. If you rent a holiday home, you will have all the usual amenities, but be in a tropical paradise, while enjoying all the activities you have to do. In Villa Gran Canaria there are many options for all tastes.
The fun for the little ones is in the theme parks. Aqualand Maspalomas and Mundo Aborigen are the most entertaining, and Palmitos Park and the Jardín Botánico Maspalomas allow observing the local fauna and flora.
In Gran Canaria, there is an important presence of the tourism of health and well-being. If you are going to enjoy your holiday, make sure you keep your body and mind relaxed.
The first thing you have to do when you arrive anywhere in the archipelago is to try their food. You will find typical Canarian dishes: ropa vieja, papas arrugadas, escaldón de gofio, caldo de pescado, puchero canario, puchero canario, etc. After eating, dare to try the honey rum!
Trekking: Roque Nublo and Los Tilos de Moya
Gran Canaria has many natural landscapes where you can go hiking. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the views. In particular, I recommend two places you can go to: Roque Nublo, a volcanic rock almost 90 meters high, and the Tilos de Moya forest.
Visit Puerto de Mogán
It’s a small coastal town, very welcoming to tourists. All its houses are white and have colourful decorations. The whole atmosphere is quiet and perfect for a relaxing walk.
Dunes of Maspalomas
This is a special nature reserve. No matter which direction you look, the dunes will seem endless: 400 hectares that will make you feel like you are in the Sahara desert. Don’t forget the Maspalomas lighthouse if you go there.
Sunset in Agaete
This coastal landscape is ideally located in the western direction. There is no better place in Gran Canaria to enjoy the sunset. The scene has a film-like beauty that can only be described when you have experienced it.
Beaches aren’t the only thing important in Gran Canaria, it’s true. But they are one of the main attractions, thanks to the almost perfect climate in any season. There are tranquil options for children, white sands, turquoise waters…
All year round you will be able to surf and windsurf if you go to Laya del Aguila, San Agustin and Puerto Rico.
