I might be older, and weigh a lot more nowadays, but back in the day I used to be rather good at skateboarding! Flips, tricks and grinds anywhere and everywhere. This post has come about because the other day I found my old skateboard in the garden shed, tried to get on it and fell straight off. So it is time to hang it up permanently, I don’t want to give it away, so I fancy turning it into something…

With the shape of the main deck of the skateboard being much like the blade of a ceiling fan, this does kind of make sense. Please note that if you should decide to buy a set of these just make sure you understand that you only get the blades, not the fan itself.

Certainly one of the strangest things I have seen made with a skateboard, but I also kind of like it as well! With the glass middle deck, it might look much better in the dark than I think it is. No need to make it as you can just buy these, but they are rather expensive.

Now this takes me back, this was one of the first top 10 posts I ever did called “Top 10 Unusual Park Benches” and this one made from old skateboard decks is one of the best uses of old skateboards I have ever seen.

Far beyond my own skills to make one, but as far as ideas go it is a really good one! These ones made by Ezequiel Galasso is the best of the best, but I am sure if you tried to make one it wouldn’t look too much different

Simple, beautify and easy to make! So what about turning all those old skateboard decks you have into a cool coffee table! That way you get to keep all those skater-boy memories, and a new place to put your cup of coco in your old age. Sounds perfect for me!

It might be a simple idea to use an old broken skateboard as a coat hanger/hook, but it is none the less very creative. The only problem I can see is cutting out the middle bit, but it could be a great for hanging things in a garage or maybe outside hallway.

I sadly don’t have a creative bone in my body, but Beto Janz does because he has made these awesome skulls made out of nothing other than broken skateboard decks! It is well worth clicking on the image just to see what they look like up close.

Did you think these were really just modern comic style kitchen tiles? Nope! They are nothing more than pieces of old skateboards put together to create something simply incredible. Sure you would need a lot of skateboard decks to make one, but it would be well worth asking friends if they have any just to make it!

Using the decks as steps have been done a few times, but a set of stairs is still one of the most amazing things you could possibly make with an old skateboard, but needless to say you might well want to make sure that the decks you use are as strong as possible.

Not only does this look great, but you can also save the time and effort making one by just clicking on the image and buying one! As far as skateboarder gift ideas go, this is most probably one of the best!
