Quite a while ago now I did a post called “Top 10 High Heels Cupcakes” and while I did try to make one, it was well above my cake making skills to do so. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think they are amazing because they are very creative! So I have decided to dig a little deeper and find out what other foods can be turned into high heels…
10 – Cupcakes
I thought I would start this post with the original edible high heels, the cupcakes that by now most of us have seen and many of us have tried to make. But there are many other ways to make high heels from a feed, so you might want to hold off making these.
9 – Cheese and Bread
Fashion student Lisa Dillon decided to make this rather….weird pair of shoes from cheese and bread! Calling them “Jimmy Cheese” the shoe related joke will be lost with most of us, but I got it and still didn’t find it that funny. But to be fair the shoes and none less creative for the bad pun.
8 – Chocolate
I have looked just about everywhere to find a site that sells these rather tasty looking shoes from Cadburys, but to now joy, so the link goes to the original blog post about a day trip to Cadburys world, well worth a read as well. And it anyone knows where to buy there please do let me know.
7 – Fondant
Not so much cupcake shoes, but cupcake topper high heel shoes! Perfect if you are going to make some ladies night cupcakes for a party or event, saves us making them!

6 – Cookies
With a simple to follow making guide and recipe we could all have a go at making these very tasty looking cookie shoes and best of all is that they can be used for just about any occasion! Parties, seasonal events and even office parties.
5 – Tins of Food
These 2 amazing Canstruction high heel shoes ( Read more about Canstruction HERE) are made with nothing more than tins of food, and best of all is that after they are made all the food goes to local food banks, great charity idea, and very creative construction.
4 – Meat
While these shoes were made as a point of protest against the eating of meat, they really are made from nothing more than red meat! Kind of gross, but also strangely amazing.
3 – Oranges
Not only are these shoes made from nothing more than Orange peels, they are also 100% wearable! With the message “Judge her when you’ve walked in her shoes.” going around the outside they really are amazing. Designer, tasty and 100% biodegradable!

2 – Cheese
Some artists that make sculptures work with ice, some with metal! But Sarah Kaufmann works exclusively with cheese! And if you visit the link you will also get to see a whole roller coaster made from cheese! Now that is some skills.
1 – Ice Cream
Now I am not at all into high heel shoes, but these not only look amazing, they are also most probably very tasty! Made by ice cream sculptor Anna Barlow they are just about as good as edible shoes as I have ever seen, do make sure to visit the link and see what other amazing things the artist has made from nothing more than ice cream.
