  3. I LOVE the look of that kiwifruit kebab dessert! Why I have not thought of dipping them in chocolate before I don’t know! I’m off to find kebab skewers

  4. Kiwis are fruits. berries are fruits. strawberries however aren’t berries. they’re achenes, similar to a sunflower. by the way those kiwi’s look delicious.

  5. No problem, I was more than happy to make it with you in mind and thank you for being there since the start and sticking with my blog as I really do appreciate it.

  6. Now that’s what I am talking about! I love kiwi! Got to try the chocolate covered kiwi now thanks for sharing!!!!!

  7. Well I will pick one of those and do a nice post for you sometime, because you are kind enough to read all of my other ones. I just have to come up with a good idea.

  8. That would be rad! I totally love bananas and I think its simply because it’s easy to eat (I’m a lazy fruit eater), then pineapples although I’m scared of the sour ones, and watermelons! Pretty basic fruit, huh? But I would love a top 10 of anything you put up, really 😀

  9. Ovaries, part of the stamen of the flower. I didn’t believe it too – one of my 6 year old students told me and insisted until I looked it up.

  10. I haven’t heard themcall Chinese gooseberries since i was a child. Yes I know that was a long time ago.
Re the English muffin. Doesn’t look like any muffin I’ve ever bought. But hey!

  11. Thanks Russell. We’ll be checking out your blog frequently (the idea of the worlds top ten idea is brilliant – especially enjoyed the most unique aquariums inside furniture post)!

  12. *LOL* A Phobia of Kiwi’s! (I wonder what that is called) Anyway thank you and it is great to hear it made you at least think about trying some again. (maybe covered in chocolate)

  13. Yeah I have to be really careful with things like smoothies or fruit juices as they often fill them out with oranges. Fruity salads tend to come with both, I just have to look on longingly!

  14. No surprises here re the Chinese gooseberry. I love them and so does son #3. The best thing here, the pav! Nothing beats a pavlova with pot loads of cream and kiwi fruit. Pav is my top pick, although the drink and the choc covered ones would have to come a close second… You always make me hungry when I read these foodie top tens, 😉

  15. …aww, RD how is it you can even make my least favourite fruit look attractive… had the (dis) pleasure of tasting “kiwis” at one of the first farms in NZ who were looking at turning them into a commercial crop…I was a kid of maybe 7 or 8… didn’t like ’em then… picking, packing & pruning didn’t help matters… every NZers insistence on smothering pavlova (my favourite desert) in them and laying them like mines in fruit salad just exacerbated the issue….
…these photos will go along way to help me overcome my phobia…

  16. This looks amazing! I bet it will complement real well with our Pina Colada recipe for the day! Thank you for liking our post and please follow us to get the newest and freshest contents! We really appreciate your support and we would like to share our blog to the rest of the community as well. http://theblendtrend.wordpress.com/
    Thanks again!

  17. The berry pizza is essentially a big cookie (for the crust) with a sweet cream cheese base and the fruit on top. Super easy to make and great for a ladies brunch/baby/wedding shower.

  18. It makes my mouth and throat itch really badly and nothing makes the itching go away. Same with oranges, if I walk past a place that does freshly squeezed oranges my nose itches too.

Sucks as I love them both so much!

  19. The pavlova looks the best (as in prettiest), the kiwi fruit cake sounds the best and is probably the one I’m going to make first. It looks moist and just good.

  20. Oh nom nom nom. I would eat my way through them all also. I did in fact know kiwi was a berry, only because well I am a cook and I do a lot of research (trolling on the web) 🙂

  21. How very imaginative… and how very enticing! Great post, thank you, I’ve shared it on facebook, because I’m sure loads of people will think the same!

  22. YUM! All ten kiwilicious treats look incredible! Too bad I just used the last of the kiwis I had. Now I have to go buy more to try at least one of these.I think I shall start at #1 and work my way to #10. Thanks for another great Top 10 list and some wicked looking kiwi recipes!
