Today is Valentine’s day! I have brought gifts for my girlfriend, made her feel special and loved all day (as I do, and will do every day I am alive) and now we are about to go out for a nice meal in TGI’s. As you can tell by my post “Top 10 Love Heart Items” I do love Swizzels Matlow’s Love Heart sweets, so I thought I would make some tasty love heart inspired foods as a special Valentine’s Day treat….
Top 10 Recipes for Conversation Heart Party Foods
10 – Cookies!
The perfect little treat to say “I love you”. The only thing wrong I can see with these is my lack of skills with an icing bag.
9 – Fudge
These are simply homemade fudge pieces! But I do know my girlfriend loves fudge so maybe I will try and make some of these.
8 – Macarons
I have no idea how hard it will be to make a macaron, but they do look light and fluffy.
7 – Cake Pops
They didn’t make it into my post “Top 10 Cake Pops” but that doesn’t mean they are not cool! Because give your loved one some of these on valentines day and it is sure to put a smile on their face.
6 – Candy
This is the recipe if you fancy making your very own Conversation Heart sweets! Nothing says “I love you!” better than a handmade piece of candy, it is all a question of effort!
5 – Marshmallows
I think making my own home-made marshmallow might be a right laugh! I don’t know why, I just think it is something fluffy, sticky and fun to do, at least I can at least give it a go.
4 – Cakes
“If I Knew You Were Comin’ I’ve Baked a Cake!” Well, I would have tried at the very least.
3 – S’mores
I have no idea what an “S’mores” is, but it looks like a tasty biscuit!
2 – Cheesecake
Now this has got to be worth a go! You just can’t go wrong with a nice cheesecake and I know my partner loves it!
1 – Toast
I will hold my hand up here and tell you all what you probably already know…”I can hardly cook anything!” I have zero kitchen skills so I am happy to try and make my cooking life as easy as possible. And with that in mind, I bring you valentines day toast! What could possibly go wrong?!?
