Ten of the Worlds Strangest Types and Flavours of Snickers Bars

Here in the UK, they were originally called the Marathon Bars but changed their name to Snickers. But putting their silly name change aside they are still just as tasty as they once were only these days they come in a lot more varieties of style and flavours. Here are just ten of the worlds most unusual Snickers Bars…

Ten of the Worlds Strangest Types and Flavours of Snickers Bars
Snickers Xtreme

10 – Xtreme

Not due for launch until 2015 this is the rather filling looking Xtreme that does away with the layer of nougat and just has tons of caramel and peanuts! This is one that I can’t wait to try that is for certain.

Snickers Almond

9 – Almond

If you take the peanuts out of a snickers, is it still a snickers? Well with this almond inspired bar we are going to find out. The same Mars Bar-owned recipe is followed here, all except the choice of nut.  I am not a fan of almonds at all, so I will be giving this a wide birth.

Snickers Cruncher

8 – Cruncher

It has to be said that the cruncher looks very much like the xtreme bar that is yet to come out! Well putting conspiracy theories aside, this is essentially a rebranded from the Snickers Munch breakfast style bar but with a chocolate layer on top.

Snickers Hazelnut

7 – Hazelnut

The very rare Snickers Hazelnut is only sold in Ukraine, Australia, and Poland and never made it to UK shores. I am sure it tastes great as hazelnuts often have a very strong taste that probably makes for a very good chocolate bar.

Snickers Yellow Nougat

6 – Yellow Nougat

Those of you with a sharp eye will instantly see that this is a movie tie-in chocolate bar linked with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It is very rare indeed and only a few thousand were ever made. In teams of the bar its self, the only unusual thing was the colour of the nougat, nothing else was changed even the taste.

Snickers Fudge

5 – Fudge

Released in 2009 Snickers Fudge was supposed to be a limited edition, but it was loved in Australia so much that it became part of the normal release. And still till today it is the only country you can get them from. If you see them in other shops they are only imported goods.

Snickers Slice ‘N’ Share

4 – Slice ‘N’ Share

It might be made of the same things and have the same taste like an ordinary Snickers bar, but this is far beyond that. This beast of a snack bar is almost a foot long, and weighs 454 grams! It goes without saying that it is officially the World’s biggest officially made Snickers bar

Snickers Peanut Butter Squared

3 – Peanut Butter

I bet I have your attention now don’t I. These were originally just called Snickers Peanut Butter, but that was discontinued in 2011 and replaced by Snickers Peanut Butter Squared. I don’t know about anyone else, but that change gets my vote! Those are some tasty looking little squares indeed.

Snickers Charged

2 – Cruncher

This “Super Charged” snickers bar was a very limited edition indeed. Containing caffeine, taurine, and B vitamins it is the only Snickers bar ever released to contain energy stimulants! Like a true power bar.

Cookies & Snickers

1 – Cookies and Snickers

So we arrive at my number 1, and while it might not be that unusual to some people, I have never seen this, heard of it or even seen it on the web before! I can only imagine how it tastes with that biscuit base and the snickers part on top. The only real problems I can see is that stopped making them in 2008 so they might be a bit stale now if any are left, and that there is only 10 in a box.
