Many people will often try to recycle plastic bottles and some people even try to make things with them. But Veronika Richterová turns them into sculptures of the like you have never seen before. They are often not just art objects, but entire scenes and environments made from them…
10 – Cactaceae – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
Apart from the plant pots here, everything else is made from recycled PET plastic bottles, all attached to an underline environmental agenda.
9 – Roses – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
Based in the Czech Republic she uses a heat gun to twist, turn and cut up the bottles and give them natural forms, so these old drinks bottles suddenly become flowers!
8 – Chameleon – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
The artist made these to show people the problem with PET bottles and how they almost never degrade. This means they really are best collected and recycled.
7 – Beetles – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
Veronika is not just an artist. She also collects PET bottle for a PET-ART museum! Currently, she has collected bottles from around the world and hold over 3000 pieces from 76 countries!

While most of you reading this would not have heard her name or seen any of her work before she is not new to the world of art and has been making art sculptures for over 12 years now!
5 – Frog – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
Some of the sculptures are made from hundreds of bottles, but looking at them it would be hard to work out exactly how many each one contains.
4 – Lobster – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
While the PET lobster is amazing, it is when they are placed in scenes that are natural to what they are that really makes her work stand out.
3 – Bats – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
One of the most impressive recycles bottle bat colonies you are ever going to see. Each of them seems to look more and more real every time I look at them!

2 – Crocodile – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
I think this is her work of art that has used the most recycled bottles. Making these is a much better idea than simply throwing them into the recycling bin.
1 – Cactaceae Desert – www.veronikarichterova.com/en/my-works/pet-art-sculptures
By taking the Cactaceae we first saw in number 10 and planting them in a desert style environment suddenly they seem to come alive and almost…natural!
