Here in the UK, we are very partial to a caravan holiday or two. Now bearing in mind the fact that I live in a VERY small village in Wales, The UK, the other day I saw one of the biggest motorhomes I have ever seen in my life! It was massive! But luckily for me, this mammoth mobile home has inspired me to try to discover just what is…
10 – The million dollar motorhome
The list of amenities this mobile home offers is amazing. Offering 3 bedrooms, roof terrace, Jacuzzi and best of all a fold away garage containing a sports car! But at $840K think I will stick to a caravan holiday for now. But if I win the lotto this bad boy is mine!
9 – 1976 Cadillac Eldorado
This is the first in a few retro mobile homes, but the reason I will be including them is that it goes to show how modern-day mobile homes are influenced. Back in the day this Cadillac Eldorado motorhome was the extreme end of luxury and is now very sought after by both collectors and Cadillac enthusiasts.
8 – Hells Holiday Angels
This sadly one-off custom designed motorhome is the work of David Castillo. Completely road legal and probably the only 5-wheel camper trike in the World. It would never fail to bring looks of disbelief and maybe a few smiles as well.
7 – The Navette
Motorhomes do not look any more like a caravan than this incredible looking Navette, made in Wakita, Oklahoma by someone called Bob Smith it is one of the most impressive retro mobile homes you will ever see, the only downside apparently was it’s turning circle making it perfect for long straight runs, but needing plenty of room at a junction or bend.

6 – The Single Life
If you are single and fancy getting away from it all in a mobile home then this is the one for you. Made by German designer Cornelius Comanns it really does have everything you might need for a short holiday road trip. But because I am so tall it is probably not for me.
5 – The Muddy Matches Roadshow
While underneath the amazing paintwork this is indeed a normal run of the mill mobile home, it is still one of the most amazing I found and is sure to get quite a few second looks as it drives past. Designed by Emma and Lucy Reeves it was built to promote their dating website specifically aimed at country people called “Muddy Matches!”
4 – The Fly By
I couldn’t find out a lot about this obviously custom designed mobile home other than it is still located at Watts Bridge Airfield sadly no longer in use, it is still one of the most unusual motorhomes I have ever seen and I for one would love to go on a road trip in it.
3 – The House Motor
Is this a Mobile home, or a home that is mobile?!? No matter what it is, it is one of the most impressive custom-built motorhomes I managed to find and it made me smile the moment I saw it. The upstairs bedroom overlooking the front of the truck is just the best!

2 – The Decoliner by Blastolene
Retro motorhomes just don’t get any better than this. The 26ft tall polished aluminium mobile home has a flying bridge, complete with a driving station and room for 5 passengers on the roof terrace!
1 – The Gold Standard
With a gold look, master bedroom, cocktail bar, and a rather impressive rooftop patio this is the very best of the best. And for the super low price of £2 million, it could be yours! I think I will get 2 just in case one gets a puncture. Or maybe I could just look at the picture and dream on.
