These days buying a new birdhouse is pretty cheap to buy (no pun intended). But why buy new when you could make one of these birdhouses that are all made from amazing things! From bottle corks to things you won’t blive. If you have ever wanted to build your own birdhouse this is the post for you…
Coins
Although it is just the top of the birdhouse that is made form pennies, it still looks cool and I love the way they look like little tiles as well.
Rubber Boot
When you get a hole in one boot what are you supposed to do with the other one? Well…what about using it to make a birdhouse! It’s certainly waterproof even if it is a little smelly.
Bottle Corks
You won’t need to open too many bottles of wine to make one of these but the more wine you drink the easier it will be to make one!
Plastic Drink Bottle
These are not only pretty easy to make but I love the fact that you can paint them different colours. These 3 in the image simage look like little mushrooms!

Coca-Cola Box
I’ve never seen a metal Cola box before and I have no idea where you might get one from, but if you can find one from somewhere this branded birdhouse
Pinball Table
Some people love their pinball tables, but if you do just so happen to have a broken one in the shed why not turn it into a rather colourful birdhouse!
Vintage Coffee Pot
It’s almost a shame to use this beautiful coffee pot in this manner, but it has to be done. Besides, even birds like a bit of retro goodness now and again.
Cookie Tin
The stronger the cookie tin the better this birdhouse will be. This cookie jar looks OK, but there are many more unusual cookie jars for sale that might be worth a look.

Lego
This is more a case of simply building a birdhouse rather than recycling something into one, but it’s still a good idea. You will definitely need to glue the bricks together to keep the bird safe.
Coconut Shell
And last but not least I bring you the easiest to make out of all of them. Just hang a coconut shell from a tree and you are done! You might want to stuff a bit of straw into it just in case.
