This is General Sherman and he is a Californian Redwood tree and also the proud owner of the world’s largest tree. It gets this title from being 31-meter circumference around and 83 meters high. Now that is an awful lot of tree.

Known as the Tree of Life for a good reason, this tree has no known water supply lives in the middle of a barren desert and has been alive for more than 400 years!

This really is a species of tree that is still growing and is 1″ tall inside of its pot! OF course, this is not a naturally grown one, it is the work of a Bonsai master grower (of should that be shrinker).
