I was watching a food channel the other day and I saw a rather tasty dessert being made inside an orange peel! Not using the peel, but actually being made inside of it. I thought the idea was so amazing I tried to find 10 more of them…

And a rather nice looking surprise it is as well. This is a good one to start with because it shows how we mean to go one, and it looks amazing as well. Full recipe and making guide in the link.

Made with real Grand-Marnier these are some adult only soufflés! Sadly even with a normal soufflé, there is a real knack to getting them not to deflate, so even if you follow the recipe and making guide perfectly, it still might end up looking nothing like these ones.

I wasn’t going to include these, but when I discovered they were made from Cointreau I thought they deserved it. Plus this great tip about preparing the oranges as well: “Cook the orange in water for 5 minutes to remove the bitter flavour.”

Before anyone says anything about then being wedges, not an orange bowl like the rest of them, to do have to have them in the orange bowl style. Just make a few up, all different colours then mix them up when it comes time to serve them. A simple idea, but a very good one as well.

I am not so sure I would want to try these. With a sweet potato filled orange and toasted marshmallows on top these are a real mash-up of indigents and ideas. Sadly no making guide, but do you really want to make them anyway?

Not only a good orange filled treat to be had here, but the dairy-free ice cream recipe is good for any day of the week. So why not treat your non-dairy friends to an orange surprise dessert.

I love the sound of chocolate and orange mousse anyway, let alone when it is made inside an orange peel bowl! A worth nod of approval here to the step by step picture guide that makes these relatively simple.

I managed to find one thing even more delicious than this recipe idea. The idea is the cinnamon rolls bake up warm and gooey inside the orange bowls. This is one sticky and tasty looking dessert!

These are hollowed out oranges that are filled with brownie batter, wrapped in foil, and cooked in a campfire! Sometimes a recipe is just too good not to try and home almost immediately. Get that campfire going, its dessert time!
