I challenge anyone to come up with ten flavours that are weirder and more unusual than this lot. From the weird tasting to the oddest looking these are some of the world’s most unusual flavours of ice cream, so grab a scoop and let’s try some of these together…
10 – Lavender
If like me you thought lavender was only good for making nice smelling soap it seems we were both wrong. It apparently makes for a rather nice ice cream flavour.
9 – Glow In The Dark
It glows in the dark because it is made from a glowing protein found in jellyfish! It is apparently totally safe to eat, but no word yet on how it tastes.
8 – Black Sesame
This not only sounds like a weird combination of tastes and ingredients, but it also looks like a weird combo! Having said that I do like orange flavoured ice cream so maybe it’s worth trying.
7 – Rose Petal
It seems you can make rather a lot from rose petals. But is ice cream one of the good ideas? Well, maybe I should try a scoop and find out.

6 – Asparagus
When it comes to flavours of ice cream I am not in a hurry to try this has to be right up there with the worst of them. But am I missing out on a taste sensation?
5 – Purple Yam
This Vegan and gluten-free Purple Yam Ice Cream are as unique in taste and ingredients and vibrant in colour as they come. Not for me, but I would imagine someone will love it.
4 – Black Ice Licorice
I’m not a big fan of liquorice anyway, so when it comes to sticking it to my ice cream recipe it will be a pass for me. But I do like the unusual colour.
3 – Fresh Ricotta
Featuring the insides of a cannoli stuck into an ice cream it is like a dessert and a meal idea all in one! Just a very cold tasting meal.

2 – Caviar
Just because you stick some Caviar on top of something doesn’t make it instantly luxurious. In fact, I would prefer the ice cream if it wasn’t on top!
1 – Garlic
It’s called Dracula not because it is for the Count himself, it’s because your breath will kill him if you go near him after eating it.
