Breath Gadget Charger

10 – Breath in…and charge.

With a face mask that makes you look like Sub-Zero from Mortal Combat comes this charger made by Inventor Joco Paulo Lammoglia. I have no idea how well it works, but I couldn’t imaging sleeping with this on my face anyway, but it is just about as weird as it gets.

Grass Charging Station

9 – Charging Grass?

The truth is that there really isn’t anything that unusual about this multi-port charging station other than the fact that it hides the leads in the grass so it doesn’t look as messy. But hey, it looks rather amazing and that is enough to make it onto this list.

Bonsai Tree Charger

8 – Chartee

Those with a keen eye will remember this from my post “Unusual Bonsai Trees” but it is in fact a charger for our gadgets as well as a rather unusual bonsai tree. So if you spend a lot of time in the garden this might well be the perfect hidden charger.

Universal Gadget Wrist Charger

7 – Shaking and charge

You might be a runner or maybe a cocktail maker, but whatever you do as long as you are constantly moving your arms why waste all the energy and charge your gadgets as well. I would imagine it will take a lot of movement to make this work for you, but it would be fun to try it at least.

Wood Burner Charger

6 – Charge BBQ

Not only will it knock up a mean saucepan full of soup, but it can also charge your gadgets at the same time! While the ratio of 1hr burn time to 5 mins charge time might not sound like the best it does kill 2 birds with one stone. If you are going to cook while camping, you might as well use that heat to charge your gadgets as well!

Wind Power Charger

5 – Blow me!

This is supposed to be an I-Phone charger that sits on the handlebars of a bicycle, but you could just as easily wave it around to get the wind turbine charging.  Not a bad idea at all, but this case and wind charger in one does make the normally sexy i-phone look a little bulky.

3 –Pop Power

Can you really charge something with fizzy pop? Well yes! In fact, any high sugar drink will do it as it relies on the amount of sugar it has. But sadly the power needed to make our modern day mobiles work is much higher. But it is still a great way to charge smaller gadgets like this custom made Nokia.

Solar Bikini Charger

2 – Chargeini

Wearable tech seems to be a rather growing trend, so it will come to no surprise that a man has made a bikini made from flexible social chargers that makes summers day, charging day! Sexist males aside this is not a bad idea at all, as long as it looks good I suppose and is comfortable.

Rocking Chair Charger

1 – I charge my gadgets back and forth.

Combining the old and the new is this rocking chair gadget charger with an Ipad stand so you can enjoy a good book or film while you gently relax. This might well be perfect for people who are pregnant because if I remember rightly rocking back and forth on a chair helps to induce birth. (But I could be wrong.)
