I love IKEA wardrobes I really do, they’re cheap, affordable and mostly easy to put together. But when it comes time for a room move around they often can’t handle the stress of it all and fall apart. After a bedroom move around earlier today, I’m looking for a new wardrobe, and maybe I could end up getting one of these amazing bits of furniture…
10 – Dolls’ House
This is not so much a wardrobe, more a work of art from 1712! It’s not often you can call a wardrobe beautiful, but that is exactly what this is.
9 – Glass
The problem with having a normal wardrobe is you have to open it to see what you have to wear for the special night out. But not with this one, you can plan ahead by simply looking at it!
8 – Medieval Tent
Not only an unusual style but also a unique round style shape. I’m going to guess that this amazing wardrobe is custom built.
7 – Minions
Yeah, I know the Minions thing is history now, but I still have to give respect to anyone who can turn a wardrobe into one! Even Dr Nefario would have struggled.
6 – Pixelated
Designed by Studio Badini Createam is a pixelated wardrobe that is more artwork than practical use, but it does look amazing anyway.
5 – Red Phone Box
Sadly for me, I know there will be people reading this who are far too young to know what these are or come from a country that didn’t have them. It’s a phone box, much like what Christopher Reeve’s Superman got changed in. What do you mean who’s this Reeves guy? I could be here all day.
4 – Lego
While it isn’t official Lego merchandise this “building block” wardrobe is still pretty good and comes in loads of colours.
3 – TARDIS
There was always going to be quite a few people turning their wardrobes into the TARDIS because they are essentially the same shape.
2 – Battlestar Galactica
Strangely this and the TARDIS one above are the only 2 nerdy wardrobes I could find and believe me, I search just about everywhere to make these posts. Seems the wardrobe is just not nerd enough.
1 – Dutch Houses
They might be only for kids, but these Dutch house wardrobes and tall cupboards are amazing. Colourful, playful and full of good storage space. The perfect furniture for any child’s bedroom.
