10 – Struise Black Damnation VI (ABV: 39%)
Info Source: The Black Damnation series is a dark twist of Urban’s mind. His idea is to realise a dozen beers with the use of Black Albert, and over a period of two years, that are as black as hell, filthy rich in the nose and with a massive taste. Black Damnation I was made with Black Albert and Blackberries and then aged for 6 months on Port barrels. Very rare beer and only available in very small quantities.
9 – Baladin Esprit De Noel (ABV: 40%)
Info Source: Distilled 2011 beer which was left to rest in oak barrels until a perfect harmony between its spirit and the aromas of the barrels it was kept in was created. A little “treat” for passionate drinkers who love taste and elegance. The color is straw yellow, the taste is smooth with gentle notes of wood and chocolate.
8 – BrewDog Sink the Bismarck (ABV: 41%)
Info Source: Sink the Bismarck is a quadruple IPA that contains four times the hops, four times the bitterness and frozen four times to create at a staggering 41% ABV.
7 – Schorschbräu Schorschbock 4 (ABV: 43%)
Info Source: Owners of a nearby ostrich-raising farm in Lo-Reninge with accommodations for vacationers, Urbain Coutteau and Philippe Driessens developed an interest in making distinctive regional beers to serve to their guests. In 2001 they began doing so with help from local wine maker Carlo Grootaert, and this project eventually developed into its own independent commercial concern.

6 – Koelschip Obilix (ABV: 45%)
Info Source: Brouwerij ‘t Koelschip (The Coolship, after a traditional piece of brewing equipment used to cool the wort after boiling), full name Ambachtelijke Bierbrouwerij en Distilleerderij ‘T KOELSCHIP, is a Dutch Brewer, based in Almere, which made also made our number 3 a 60% ABV beer called Start the Future.
5 – Brewdog the End of History (ABV: 55%)
Info Source: This 55% beer should be drank in small servings whilst exuding an endearing pseudo vigilance and reverence for Mr Stoat. This is to be enjoyed with a weather eye on the horizon for inflatable alcohol industry Nazis, judgemental washed up neo-prohibitionists or any grandiloquent, ostentatious foxes.
4 – Schorschbräu Schorschbock 57 (ABV: 57%)
Info Source: Released in 2011, Schorschbock 57 claims to be the strongest beer in the world. According to Master brewer Georg Tscheuschner, a higher proof beer would violate Germany’s 500-year-old Beer Purity Law. Schorschbräu only made 36 bottles, and each carries a price tag of €200.
3 – Koelschip Start the Future (ABV: 60%)
Info Source: The brewery, Koelschip, is stationed in The Netherlands where after the success of their previous high content brew Obilix, Start the Future was born. In the quest for a high ABV Start the Future is said to have taken on the taste of rubbing alcohol. Start the Future was created also as a response to The End of History which is brewed by Brewdog.

2 – Brewmeister Armageddon (ABV: 65%)
Info Source: One of the world’s strongest beers at 65%. Ingredients include crystal malt, wheat, flaked oats and of course 100% Scottish spring water, all freeze-fermented to raise the ABV.
1 – Brewmeister Snake Venom (ABV: 67.5%)
Info Source: Snake Venom, from Scottish brewery, Brewmeister, clocks in at a stomach-burning 67% ABV. Snatching the title for the world’s strongest beer “Brewmeister Armageddon”, the brew is made with smoked peat malt as well as Champagne yeast and ale yeast.
