There are thousands of images of people who have made their own slides with cardboard, but let me tell you, it has to be thick otherwise it is not a nice ride at all. Sadly I learnt this lesson the hard way.

This spiral slide looks to be made from polished wood! Just imagine the speed to would be doing by the time you got to the bottom. I hope there is something soft to land on just out of camera sight.

Some of you might remember this from my post “Top 10 Unusual Fire Safety Escape Chutes“, what happens is when a fire alarm goes off this slide folds down and it helps people escape the building faster! Something to look forward to on fire alarm test days then.

This is the result of someone who once thought the same way as me. Made by Quirk the slide-rider is a prototype product that will probably never see the light of day due to health and safety fears. But I would buy one in a heartbeat.
