Don’t Ever Go Cold Turkey
Do you feel like you could stop taking your antidepressants because you feel strong enough? Then don’t. It is important to slowly wean yourself off as stopping “cold turkey” can have disastrous side effects. As with anything prescription based do consult a doctor before changing the dosage or frequency.

Great article. I agree with everything with exception to your therapist that said medication is 5% of recovery. I think this can definitely flunctuate for different people. In my own case I would say it’s most like 50% or higher. Unfortunately I’ve found that if I don’t take my medication my life starts to sharply nosedive, literally within days. The ‘chemical imbalance’ component can be very high for some people.
