Top Ten Islands to Visit

The best island getaways feature expansive beaches, diverse cultures, and protected areas of wilderness. However, not every island is the same, they may appear so when you look through a holiday brochure, but each island has its own features that contribute to its uniqueness.

Imagine this, you are sipping a cocktail on the beach, overlooking paradise, while reading a paper, daydreaming, scrolling your phone for the best asian bookies, or however else you like to wind down the day. Sounds like heaven, right?

We’ve compiled a list of the ten most stunning islands in the world.

Mauritius

The old proverb goes something like, “The best things in life are worth working for.” This African island, located roughly 500 miles east of Madagascar, is a prime example of this. Although it takes over 24 hours to arrive in Mauritius from the United States, the island’s tranquil beaches and stunning scenery are worth the trip.

Maldives

The islands of the Maldives are among the most beautiful in the world, but it is the ocean that gives them their true radiance. These white sand beaches scarcely rise above the Indian Ocean, and they are lapped by blue waters of pristine clarity.

Palawan

When you think of paradise, think of Palawan in the Philippines. In addition to some of the best diving in the world, the coral reefs that surround several of these jungle-covered islands are home to an astounding diversity of tropical fish.

Bahamas

Harbour Island is known for its pink sand beaches, while the cays of Eleuthera are known for their excellent surfing. The islands are a great place to go snorkeling or scuba diving because they feature the world’s third-largest barrier reef, as well as underwater cave systems and clean water.

Bali

Ubud is where you can get in touch with Bali’s spiritual side, while Seminyak and Sanur are great for families, and Kuta is where you can feel the pulse of Bali’s tourism industry.

Santorini

More than just a romantic retreat, this destination has something to offer everyone. When visiting a winery, wine lovers can sample some of the best wines in the world. Meanwhile, those interested in the past might want to visit Akrotiri and Ancient Thira. In addition, visitors can hike to the top of the caldera for breathtaking views of whitewashed villages and observe the island’s distinctive red and black sand beaches, like Red Beach and Kamari Beach, on this Greek island’s volcanic environment.

Fiji

Fiji is more than just the white sand beaches and breathtaking scenery of this South Pacific archipelago. You can snorkel with tropical fish, shop until you drop in Suva, and explore secluded beaches on the Mamanuca Islands.

Dalmatian Island

The Dalmatian Islands are a group of islands in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Croatia. These beautiful islands, which have some of Croatia’s best beaches, are dotted with quaint settlements and boutique hotels and restaurants.

Koh Samui

Koh Samui is tropical visual candy, with its pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and swaying palm trees set against a backdrop of lush jungle. Ang Thong National Marine Park is a tropical Thai paradise with colourful coral reefs, emerald peaks soaring from the turquoise water, and other stunning natural features.

St Lucia

There’s something mysterious and alluring about St. Lucia. Visitors like the island’s golden sands and swaying palm trees, but the island’s beaches aren’t what makes it stand apart from other Caribbean islands. The island’s landscape, on the other hand, is fraught with dramatic contrasts. The twin volcanic peaks of the Pitons rise over 700 meters above sea level and serve as a majestic backdrop to the lush countryside.
