If there is one film I am not ashamed to admit that I like it is all of the Transformers series. So now with the new film coming out I thought it would be a good time to go on the lookout for what the new robots would look like. But I stumbled across something a little more interesting. This is the amazing work and indeed imagination of Darren Rawlings, who likes to think up what famous retro vehicles would look like if they could transform…

FACT: For the scene where Scorponok bursts out of the sand right on the heels of the soldiers was considered too expensive to do with CGI so it was done by detonating over 20 meters of primer cord under the sand. FACT: In the original Transformers film Bumblebee was supposed to be a Volkswagon Bug however thought there would be a copyright clash with Herbie the Lovebug. But while Bumblebee got changed to a Chevrolet Camero Bumblebee was parked next to a Volkswagen Beetle in the car dealership scene!
