Growing up I was always running around the garden pretending to be all sorts of superheroes. But one thing they all had in common (in my head anyway) as they all had a cape, and from the look of these ten images, cats like to play the same make-believe games…
10 – The Blob
While the thought of rescuing both humans and other cats was there, the energy to turn them into reality was not. But as a cape is a good start indeed.
9 – Superknit
It looks more like a saddle than a superhero cape, but sometimes you just have to make the best with what you have handy.
8 – Blind Boy
This cat doesn’t need eyes to see and find people who need rescuing. He uses his super cat sense to detect them…provided they are covered in catnip.
7 – The Masked Scratcher
With both a cape and a mask, this kitty is going all the way to becoming a new superhero. Maybe crafts and recycling cat should be his name.

6 – Flag Cat
Has your national flag become tangled up in the strings and poles? Well, this cat will fly in and sort it out for you, saving you from having to get the ladder!
5 – Wrapper Cat
Having trouble opening up Christmas or Birthday presents and gifts? This cat flies into people homes, opens the offending parcel with his sharp claws and flies away before anyone sees him.
4 – Hankie Boy
A simple hankie or napkin can turn any cat into a rescue ready superhero. Just watch out for any boggiers because they are like kryptonite to a cat.
3 – Carrier Cat
While I like the pointed, bat style ears, I think the choice of low-quality carrier bag cape lets this puss down. If only the bag was red.

2 – Dishcloth Boy
For some reason, this cat has taken up the superhero stance as well as the costume! Pet by day, rescue hero by night, saving mice from other cats.
1 – Bag Boy
Because I used a red shopping bag myself as a cape I had to give this low-budget kitty the number 1 spot. It’s not about the costumes, it’s about the personality!
