People often tell me the hardest thing about blogging is starting one. But I don’t think that is true at all. I think the hardest thing about blogging is to keep it going, to stay motivated and to make sure you don’t let things get away from you…
10 – Frequency
If you got a chance to go back in time and change the frequency of which I blog it would not be 7 days a week! Choosing one that best suits your needs early on is best, but not always predictable.
9 – Think Ahead
People often ask me how I post 7 days a week, and my answer always surprises them. Put simply I don’t! When I am in the mood to blog I will make several posts in advance, that way I always have a backup post if I don’t like the one I am writing.
8 – Capture
A blog post idea can come at you in any number of different ways and forms. Making sure you always have a camera and a writing pad handy is one of the greatest ways of making sure you capture every idea that comes your way.
7 – Steal
I’m not saying you should steal someone’s entire article and use it as your own, but use someone else’s article to inspire your own. Steal the idea, not the text.

6 – Environment
Sometimes a change of environment can really keep you motivated. Don’t just sit in the home office waiting for ideas to come to you, go to Starbucks and people watch. Let those ideas flow like water through your mind.
5 – Walking / Exercising
Going for a walk is scientifically proven to increase brain activity and increased productivity. So if you feel a little trapped and burnt out, go for a walk and recharge!
4 – Meditation
Sometimes you have to empty your mind in order to fill it. Whenever I feel a little-worn out I meditate as a way of recharging my batteries.
3 – Recycling
I am not telling you to go out and put those empty bottles into the glass bank, what I am telling you to do, is to recycle an old post! That way you can link to the old one and still have some new content!

2 – Share The Pain
A good way to get rid of blog blues is to share thoughts with a friend, or to let someone do a guest post and save you from doing it!
1 – Templates
There are millions of blog templates on the web, just choose one and fill in the blanks! All the content will be yours and with so many, you will have enough ideas to blog until you can’t blog anymore.
