If you are the proud owner of a sloped garden why not turn some old cinder blocks into a set of steps. In fact, I think it looks rather nice and you could grow grass in the middle sections!

Putting a few large cinder blocks in the garden can be a great place for cats and other wild animals to hide it. In fact, those 4 concrete walls make a very safe habitat for a lot of animals.

Perfect for the storing of bits and bobs, or maybe your jewellery is this cinder block mini chest of draws. I have not seen that many 3 holed cinder blocks.

Not only a simple sofa made from a few cinder blocks and a cheap mattress, but also a handy shoe storage unit built-in! Not many sofas can say they have that as a feature.

If you have a lot of entertainment things like boxes, DVDs, video game and music cases to store then entertainment storage units are not going to cut it. So why not build your own from cinder blocks!? After all, they are just concrete versions of Lego.

You wouldn’t want to scuff your toe on it getting out of bed, but it is not as insane as you might think. It still offers storage space and is nice and airy for the mattress. Mind you, it is a bit of a pain moving the bed around the room.

Take a cinder block, some board and a piece of dowel rod and you have the makings of one amazing birdhouse. Just remember to hang it from a very strong branch indeed.
