There have been many crazes to appear online: from planking, duckface, Gangnam Style and even the Harlem Shake. But once upon a time, it was a famous screaming goat.
The Screaming Goat is exactly what it sounds like – the use of a screaming goat. But to make it a lot funnier than it actually was, people started to make videos replacing lyrics in a popular song with the noise the goat makes. The concept is easy to replicate, but it takes the right part of a song to pull it off…
10 – Bruno Mars – Locked out of Heaven
Psssh! someone thought that one goat would not suffice and decided to get a whole farm of screaming goats onboard for this Bruno Mars Goat Remix. So if you are wondering where all the local goats have gone blame this video maker.
9 – LMFAO – Sexy and I Know It
Told, Ron Jeremy in the video. If you don’t know who the geezer is then I suggest you go and use your friend Google to find out, or use Bing if you just wish to be awkward.
8 – Rebecca Black – Friday
Unless you have a secret love for Rebecca Black then the chances are you will most likely dislike her song “Friday” like any other sane person; however, with the introduction of a goat that says “yeah” the song just rose by 5%, making the overall likeability of the song reach to…5%.
7 – Miley Cyrus – Party In The U.S.A.
Guess what? Goats love to party as much as the next person, with a beer can in one hand and a microphone in the other. And although they love to throw down in locations all over the world, their favourite place to party is the U.S.A.

6 – Bon Jovi – Living On a Prayer
This is one for all of the Mums and dads out there. If you love your American rock, which you love to turn up full blast when everyone is out of the house, then Bon Jovi is definitely a part of your music collection.
5 – Black Eyed Peas – Boom Boom Pow
Boom, Boom “goat scream!” The video, like all of them to be fair is simple, yet very effective. This Black Eyed Peas Goat Remix had to make it into the top ten.
4 – Michael Jackson – Black or White
Someone commented on this Michael Jackson video and said: “This is what the internet was invented for!” And you know what, I agree. Have a watch as it is sure to make anyone smile.
3 – Skrillex – First of the Year
Skrillex, whose real name is Sonny Moore, used to be the lead man in a post-hardcore band called From First to Last. Yeah, I bet all you dance fans didn’t know that did you? If you take Skrillex and add a goat, only good things can come of it.

2 – Iron Maiden – Aces High
Yeah, I know, I am picking “generic pop” songs for this top ten, but it’s not me who made these videos and pop is what a lot of people like. Too bad no one has made a decent Metal remix. Oh wait, someone did. For your listening pleasure Iron Maiden – Aces High (Goat Edition)!
1 – The Original Screaming Goat Video – Taylor Swift
From what I found out while researching (when I say researching I mean eating sweets and Googling) is the original video was titled: Taylor Swift – I Knew You Were A Goat When You Walked In, and the video can be seen above. But the goat they used simply doesn’t have us reaching for the L and O on the keyboard (to spell LOL, if you didn’t get that). However, little did they know they would start a new viral craze – just too bad they got no recognition and other videos using Screaming Goat videos. Sadly this fad soon ran out of steam because like all these screaming goat videos and many others they are well worth watching is just for the giggles.
