While some people think the internet has killed off most the local libraries and made the world a worse place, I feel the opposite because like it or not the internet has brought knowledge and people closer together and I do still going to the library I do prefer if it comes to me. Be it in the form of the internet or one of these amazing mobile libraries…
10 – Camper Character
Filled to the brim with used books that people can take away and keep forever is this Volkswagen campervan with a little sitting area inside if you want to relax and read.
9 – Speed Reader
It is low-cost and perfect for nipping in and out of traffic. This motorcycle library is in New Delhi and is often the only way some kids will get to read anything.
8 – Book packs
You will be racking up the miles, but a human transported mobile library is good expertise for the librarian and good brain exercise for the people who read them!
7 – Training Train
Need to learn to read fast but live in the middle of Africa far, far away from the nearest library? Then why not wait for the mobile library train!

6 – Canal Boating Books
While this is technically a bookshop rather than a floating library the owner is happy for you to read a few books inside whenever he is moored up at the jetty.
5 – BiebBus
It has over 100 meters of bookshelves, 5000+ books and it even has an upstairs reading room, internet spot and glass bottom floor! This isn’t just a library it is a form of art.
4 – Chevy Chapters
This amazing 1949 Chevy is one of the most stylish mobile library’s I have ever seen! Best of all is the owner of this van is 91 and still drives around schools delivering new books to them! Good for him.
3 – Book Warfare
If it could fire kindles out of its canon this might well be the best mobile library ever! But I am more worried the books might fall out of it that firing out of it.

2 – Donkey the Librarian
When you really do live in the middle of nowhere like some small villages in Mexico the only way you are still going to read a book is a mobile library on the back of a donkey! Good for the kids I suppose, not so much fun for the donkeys.
1 – Little Travel House
It’s OK to drive in a house themed, mobile library van even one that has only 3 wheels. But does it really have to have a chimney on the top of it?!? Much like reading books, my imagination wonders why he needs it.
