FACT: The show was filmed with an average of 12 hours of footage per episode! Apparently, there was always too many bloopers and mistakes and it was often said that the hardest job on the show was that of the editor who had to make those 12 hours into a single 22-minute episode!

FACT: In the show Phoebe says that Joey’s pin number is “5639” and if you dial that the letters under the numbers “5639” spells out “Joey.”

FACT: During the first season Monica, Rachel, Chandler and Joey mysteriously moved up a couple of floors in their apartment building because original the number on the door said 5, but producers thought that sounded too low of a 2nd floor flat so made it 20 instead and thought no-one would notice. But the hardcore fans did!

FACT: In the pilot episode Monica introduces Rachel to Chandler and they act like they’ve never met before, but later on we find out that this is simply not true. Classic continuity issues.

FACT: In an episode in Vegas, Ross and Rachel had to put pen all over their faces for a joke, but sadly for them it was permanent marker pen and they tried everything they could to get it off so they could get on with filming scenes that they didn’t have pen on their faces, but even after ringing the pen company the pen and getting no good advice the ink stayed on them for another 4 days and filming had to be stopped!
