Are you lucky enough to have snow where you live? In some places it snows all year round and in others like here in the UK we are lucky if we get to see anyway But we are not here for a weather report, we are here to look at ten funny and beautiful cats playing in the snow…
Ten of the Most Beautiful Cats Playing in the Snow
10 – It is cold outside, but I don’t need a coat as I’m always all white!
Sometimes it can be hard to see a white cat in white snow, As well as the other side of things like photos of dogs in the snow which is another post I really need to make. But I am sure that over the coming months and years I will get round to that post as well.
9 – Wild Thing!
Sometimes images of a cat and kitten playing in the snow can make you go aww, but this image of a rather grumpy looking cat is much more likely to make you run for the hills! Maybe it is just sick and tired of all the snow, but it sure looks like it has its winter coat on!
8 – “Own up! Who threw that snowball”
So can cats play in the snow? Well yes and no. Certain cats I am sure will love it and I have indeed seen many a YouTube video of them doing just that. But as a general rule, I think cats would much prefer the warmth and comfort of a house rather than frolicking about in the snow.
7 – I’m a Woodpecker mate, now jog on!
This little chap is a Bobcat and it’s a wildcat. You can often see these cats playing in the water, and indeed fishing in it as well! They are tough to the core and not one to approach in the wild or in the snow because they can and often will attack.
6 – Let’s play in the snow he said, it will be fun he said…he was WRONG!
This poor cat is the result of several cats playing with each other in the snow. It truly does look like it has survived a snowstorm, but I have seen the whole video and can assure you that the cat is quite happy despite its scared face.
5 – They will come to me, oh yes!
In some parts of the world, they can get an average of 94 inches of snow a year! Now during this time, most house cats stay inside, so you get hundreds of images of cats playing patty cake together. But others like this cat are braver than the rest and will still go out hunting in it.
4 – “Where is that darn bus!?”
Looking like it is waiting for a bus to come by and pick it up, this cat is not like all those other cats playing or fighting in the snow, it just wants to go home asap. Or maybe it is more likely waiting for its owner to get back and feed it.
3 – What has been seen can’t be unseen
There is nothing like seeing kids and indeed cats playing together in the winter, but there is always that one snowball thrower that gets hit in the face and things suddenly turn very sour. If I had to guess, that is what has happened here.
2 – Scarf? Check! …Santa Coat? Check! …Dead owners?…very soon.
Well, it might seem like a good idea to dress your cat up in its winter coat and scarf, but cats are furry for a very good reason. They have survived very much unchanged for thousands of years, so I will take a guess and say that they know how to survive the odd cold winter storm or two.
Of course, most cats by the time winter and indeed snow gets here they already have their winter coats on and can look rather fat. But not his cat, it really is just fat! But that doesn’t seem to stop him jumping into the snow and having loads of fun. Let’s face it, he needs the exercise anyway.
