Said to be the smallest in the UK this is pretty much a small family home than a full castle, but it is officially classed as one. A castle is classed as “a private fortified residence of a lord or noble.” In this castle once lived Edward Blore who designed and help build Buckingham Palace! It’s almost as small as these houses as seen in a previous post.

Said to be one of Argyll’s most romantic castles it is located on a small rock island to the north of Port Appin and was gifted to King James IV as a hunting lodge! It makes you wonder what they were hunting!
