Today is Halloween! (Otherwise known as: All Hallows’Eve) and it was a an easy choice on what to post today. The pumpkins are carved, candles lit and the kids are out trying to put themselves into a sugar coma. But what I will be trying to answer today is this: What are the best things to do with a pumpkin after Halloween?!? Well check these ideas out….
We have already seen some amazing ideas for old wheel barrows in my post “Top 10 Best Things to do With a Wheelbarrow” but it seems I might well have missed one. I say that because the other day someone sent me pictures of their dog that uses an old wheelbarrow as a sort of garden bed! But it seems all sorts of animals love using them…
My own garden path is something that I need to fix. You see I once tried to put down a patio with rather disastrous effect. So now I have a lumpy, bumpy, miss-match of a path that I need to start from scratch again. But while looking for ideas I did come across some rather amazing ideas that I would like to share with you….
While out walking the dog in the woods I often see Conifer cones all over the floor, just about everywhere. But the other day I saw someone collecting them (hundreds of them) and wondered what on earth they could make or indeed do with all that make pine cones. Well it seems there are quite a lot of options, but I thought I would bring you just 10…
If there is one thing I would love to learn it is how to live of the land. To make my own vegetables, grow edible plants, herbs and generally survive in the wilderness. But I like things like chocolate plants! Or maybe Cake plants!!! None of those exist and those are the things I like to eat! Maybe I should grow some of this lot… Continue reading
One thing you will not know about me is that I love playing the piano. One day in a bar I just started tinkering with one and suddenly it was like I understood how to play it! (or maybe I was just drunk) Sadly I could never in a million years afford to get my own one, I did think about getting an old one once and renovating it. But it seems people have other uses for their old pianos… Continue reading
Dinning chair are boring! Well I thought that they were anyway. You see the ones that I have at home are just the normal cheap wooden ones from IKEA (nothing wrong with that you might add) but some people don’t see a boring old wooden chair they see a canvas to express themselves with, to make it stand out, to make it better than all others….
Today I am the unhappy owner of a bruised knee. I got it because while out walking the dog and I tripped over some hidden barbed wire and had a soft landing on my knee. But don’t worry, it really isn’t all that bad at all, but I did have to wonder if there was a better use of barbed wire other than being left to be tripped over! Well it turns out that in people can make some rather amazing things with it! So without further ado I bring you…
Over the years of my life I have tried to do as many different things as I could. From trying all sorts of foods from around the World, to trying most sorts of sport and hobbies, I even joined a knitting class once, just to say I had tried it. Something I did try once is the art of Chinese penjing (or Bonsai as it is currently known) and I loved it! But only for a while as I got bored rather quickly, because these trees are like a baby, they need constant attention and caring. But maybe I would enjoy one of these a lot more… Continue reading
About a year ago now me and my little boy had great plans to go cycling every day and to have fun exploring the Welsh countryside with our bikes. So I got myself one and one that attaches to the back of mine that my little boy could ride. But 2 weeks after getting them it started to rain here in the UK and didn’t stop till last week! That might be a slight exaggeration but you get the point. But sadly my boy is now into football! He hates going for rides and just wants to play ball all day. But what about mine and his bikes? What am I suppose to do with them? Well it seems they might not be the only bikes that will never be rode again as I show you what I think is…. Continue reading
