Ten Truly Amazing Miniature Sculptures by Vladimir Aniskin

The other week I showed you some amazing miniature works of art by Willard Wigan in my post “Top 10 Miniature Sculptures“, but there is another artist that is just as amazing at these incredible small works of art, and while they might not be as nerdy as Mr Wigan’s they are still very much worth seeing. This is the amazing miniature art sculptures of Vladimir Aniskin, and small is not even close to describing their size…

10 – Seed My Lies

This amazing little children’s book scene featuring Pinocchio, sat on a lilly pad with a frog, and a seal making music in the water. All very well and good you might think, but all that is located on nothing more than half a single tiny grape seed! So very small, but lots of detail.

8 – Dive, dive!

While at first this might look like a boat, it is in fact a Russian submarine in the dock. While this one is not as 3 dimensional as the others I felt it was still just as amazing. After all it is the amazing microscopic size, not these style they are that makes them so unique.

7 – Cheburasha and Gena

While I have to admit I have never heard of Cheburasha and Gena before it doesn’t mean I don’t find this art work amazing. Why not make your own! All you have to do is take a poppy seed from a muffin, cut it in half, now place two figures on it and paint them! Simple.

This rather realistic face is done on a single apply seed! The miniature portrait of Sergei Korolyov, the chief designer of the Soviet space program is a real strong showcase of how much detail the artist can reach, despite the incredible micro sizes the canvas really is.

1 –  Wine and dine

The bottle of wine, both glasses and a little bunch of grapes are all located on a half cut grape seed! Next time you eat grapes, take a look at how small the seeds really are and then you will appreciate the amazing detail the artist gets in such a small space.
