This is the work of pure genius! Consisting of nothing more than a large scoop of vanilla ice-cream, chocolate eyes and cookie ears, it looks mouth watering and a great idea to put a smile on someone’s face. No recipe or making guide with this one, but you hardly need it.

At first I thought that this was a brand new sort of Panda loved gummy bear, but as far as I can work out, it is just people adding a touch of black to the normally clear, bear (seen here on the right) but I think it is still amazing, and well worth including on this list.

  1. Nice! Love the steamed buns 🙂 Just to answer a little of your steamed bun queries – they’re made of a soft, sticky dough (I don’t know how the dough is made but there may be recipes online) which is a little sweet, and they’re usually filled with a savory filling such as BBQ pork, chicken, vegetables, etc. The steamed part is I think the second part of cooking – a bit like how bagels are boiled. They’re delicious even without pandas 🙂

  2. Hi Russell, I love this list, especially the gorgeous macaroons, cupcakes and cute little sandwich! Funny, I just posted about panda cupcakes I made for a recent school cake stall. You can click through from my post to the original recipe and cute pics.

  3. What a great post because I so love a panda. The ice cream and cupcake ones were my favorite. Can I say sweet tooth? You comments only add to the enjoyment I get from ready your blog everyday. You have a talent for making me smile like no other! Have a great weekend! 🙂

  4. It’s hard to choose – how can one do it when pandas are so cute and the ideas are so appealing. However, there is something about the cookies, they look cute and cuddly but with a little mischief in their eyes. makes me wonder what they have been up to a few minutes ago.

  5. Steamed buns are delicious, very soft and warm because they are steamed instead of baked. It’s one of the more tasty staples in Vietnamese cooking (I’ve even made them…) Although the panda ones look far cuter than mine ever did!

  6. Excellent post, you got love those Panda’s. the steamed bun or mantou, has many variations. But in plain English it’s like baking a bread roll but you steam it. Now that’s my experience and knowledge of it, but then maybe I was not told correctly. Our one cat sometimes reminds me of a panda with her pitch black hair and fat bum. Enjoy your weekend. Ivan
