Christmas dinner is one of those occasions that everyone wants to be involved in but nobody wants to host. With that in mind, heading out for Christmas dinner with the family is something that’s growing in popularity because it means all the fun and none of the stress. Of course, there are also a whole bunch of people who choose to stay at home in their PJs and still don’t have to endure the stress of cooking, if this sounds like something that appeals to you, then take a look here at some of these restaurants you can order from instead.

The festive menu includes three courses with appetisers and a special cinnamon Bellini. For dessert, make sure you try the chocolate and cumin tart.

For a fine dining experience, make a reservation at The Duck and Waffle which is located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower. Although I’ve never been myself, I’ve heard nothing but good things so, with one of the most impressive Christmas menus, it just had to feature on the list. Not only is the menu an absolute treat, this place has one of the best views of the city skyline too!

Dean Street Townhouse

If you’re heading out to get away from the dishes rather than tradition, then you’ll enjoy the Dean Street Townhouse Christmas experience for sure. With traditional roast turkey, beef and Christmas pud, it’s a traditional Brit’s idea of Christmas perfection.

Orange Public House and Hotel

If you’re looking for somewhere more casual and affordable this year, then look no further than this proper pub in Pimlico Road. You’ll you’re your drinks on the ground floor and your food on the first, along with some great views of Orange Square.

Bar Boulud

If you’re looking to add some European flavour to this year’s Christmas feast, then travel over to Français with a visit to Bar Boulud. With a home in the heart of Knightsbridge, it’s a high-end one so probably best to avoid the trackies and trainer combo. Food-wise, you’ll be faced with all kinds of delights from squash soup with truffle marshmallows, to a classic French cake with cherry jam for dessert. Oh, la la.

This place is like a home from home with family service and all. If there are a lot of you and you’re looking for somewhere relaxing and big enough to cater for you all, head over to High Holborn because you won’t find better than this.

Champagne on arrival, a four-course meal and coffee with mince pies to finish is just a snippet of what’s on offer at this luxurious restaurant. The main feature though, is, of course, the yellow submarine – no, I’m not joking.

Darbaar Restaurant

Head over to Shoreditch for an Indian meal at the Darbaar Restaurant. If you’re looking for the spice of life this year then the Darbaar Restaurant just has to have it. If their cumin soup, tandoori paneer, spiced fruit, and nut pudding don’t get you hot under the collar, then I’m not sure what will.

Tozi

As always, the Italians cater for everyone; whether you’re alone, in a couple or there’s a whole gang of you waiting outside, there’s sure to be something everyone will enjoy. Personally, I’d recommend going in a large group as then you can give the Italian feast menu a try – you will not be disappointed.

This place is 1920s America meets a true British Christmas. With roast Norfolk bronze turkey and champagne sorbet for dessert, it’s a Christmas no one can be disappointed with.
