Top 10 Dalek Themed Doctor Who Party Foods

As you might have expected from my post “Top 10 Unusual and Funny Daleks” I am a bit of a fan of Doctor Who, as are many, many other people who enjoyed that post. So to celebrate just how well that post went and the fact that the Doctor 50th celebrations have just passed, I thought about having a Dr Who themed party! With some of my favourite episodes back to back and maybe some party nibbles…

Like a themed Bento box this amazing lunch box is inspired by the Doctors love of fish fingers & custard, but don’t worry that is not what is really in the lunch box, just the style.

Dalek Ironside Open-faced Sandwiches

7 – Captain Sandwich

This amazing Dalek themed open sandwich is not the main reason I choose this one. The main reason is that it is part of an entire book filled with Doctor Who related recipes called “Dining With The Doctor: The Unauthorised Whovian Cookbook” Cool or what?!?

Dalek Cake

6 – Major Cake

This is not the best looking Dalek cake you will ever see, it might well taste like the best one, but I have no idea. I choose this one because it was the only one I could find that had a nicely presented recipe and step by step making guide, making it blogging perfection.

Dalek Pie

1 – General Pie

I have no idea what is in it or no idea what it is made from! But I know this…A Dalek pie is a very cool pie indeed and goes to show that you really don’t need to and an art degree to make something Dalek shaped. Just a pie crust and a Dalek cookie cutter!

  2. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d definitely appreciate it.

  3. Having read this I thought it was very enlightening. I appreciate you spending some time and effort to put this content together. I once again find myself spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worth it!

  4. I didn’t realise you live in Wales, Russell. It’s a small world.

Have you been to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay. I went with my son last year and loved the interactive part. The museum was interesting too…seeing a lot of the original costumes and Tardis sets.

  5. No problems at all, your book “Girl in the Mermaid Tail” sounds amazing, it just drew me straight in.So good luck with the blog I will keep a very firm eye on it.

  6. How things have changed with the show since 1963, still very popular but even more scary now-days because they have more money for effects! I also live just over the mountain to Cardiff, but they have filmed in Caerphilly where I live several times. Just lucky I guess.

  7. Russell, I’m a Doctor Who fan as well. Not surprising as I can look across the river towards Cardiff and the BBC Wales studio were the programme is made! The series is filmed in and around Cardiff and Penarth, where I live, has had location shoots as well. Unfortunately, I have never actually seen any filming. I remember seeing the first ever Doctor Who on TV back in 1963.

  8. My youngest daughter, who is a HUGE Dr. Who fan, will love this. She and her husband also love to bake. I see these showing up somewhere in the near future. Thank you for sharing. 😉

  9. Honestly, I only started following the other day… maybe yesterday? Or a week ago? Sometime in that frame, so I’m still too new to say anything yet. But – you know I’ll tell you one way or the other once I’ve had time to enjoy it for a bit! 🙂

  10. The fact that some person at home made that Dalek cake at home makes it the most awesome cake there is! Kudos to them! I think the pizza is the only one I could attempt! And, for the record, a Dalek car air freshener is NOT taking it too far! 😉

Which one did you like?
