Once again it has started to pour down with rain, (as it does quite often here) and while I was looking out the window I saw a cat run very fast for shelter to avoid the impending downpour. But I felt kind of sorry for it after all cats hate water, so obviously hate the rain, in fact, they will do anything to avoid it…

10 – “Do I have to go to the toilet outside while it is raining?!? You don’t!”

FACT: Rain drops can fall at speeds of about 22 miles an hour. To take this into perspective, a snowflake falls at about 2-4 mph can take about 1 hour to finally reach the ground.

FACT: Heavy rain is classified as being more than 0.30 inches of rain an hour. If droplets are very small they are typically known as drizzle.

FACT: Flash floods happen when it rains a lot and water rises very quickly. Flash floods can be so dangerous that each year they kill more people worldwide than tornadoes, earthquakes or even lightning!

FACT: We have been taught to draw raindrops as a tear shaped since childhood, but they are actually perfectly shaped balls!
