The World’s Top 10 Best Dalek Shaped Foods

As you might have expected from my post “Top 10 Unusual and Funny Daleks” I am a bit of a fan of Doctor Who, as are many, many other people who enjoyed that post. So to celebrate just how well that post went and the fact that the Doctor 50th celebrations have just passed, I thought about having a Dr Who themed party! With some of my favourite episodes back to back and maybe some party nibbles….

Dalek Oreo Cake Bites

Dalek Oreo Cake Bites

10 - Lance Corporal Oreo

With them being not much more than a chocolate-coated marshmallow stuck onto a Oreo and covered in coloured icing they are not too hard to make. But just in case there is a full recipe and making guide in to be found by clicking on the image.

Vegan gingerbread daleks

9 - Sergeant Gingerbread

Made with a Dalek cookie cutter (Available Here) these are dead easy to make. No making guide or recipe in the image link, but you really shouldn’t need them.

8 – Lieutenant Cheese

Like a themed Bento box this amazing lunch box is inspired by the Doctors love of fish fingers & custard, but don’t worry that is not what is really in the lunch box, just the style. Full recipe can be seen by clicking on the image.

Dalek Ironside Openfaced Sandwiches

7 - Captain Sandwich

This amazing Dalek themed open sandwich is not the main reason I choose this one. The main reason is that it is part of an entire book filled with Doctor Who related recipes called “Dining With The Doctor: The Unauthorized Whovian Cookbook” Cool or what?!?

Dalek Cake

6 – Major Cake

This is not the best looking Dalek cake you will ever see, it might well taste like the best one but I have no idea. I choose this one because it was the only one I could find that had a nicely presented recipe and step by step making guide, making it blogging perfection.

Dalek Cupcake

5 – Colonel cupcake

Sadly for us there isn’t a making guide or recipe in the image link, but they don’t look too hard to make with a cupcake bottom and smarties going down the sides they would be great for any Sci-Fi themed party.

4 - Brigadier Fruit

Seen by David Reid at the “West Show” over in Guernsey is this rather amazing fruit and vegetable Dalek! Apparently it didn’t win first price. Shame because it looks like a winner!

Dalek Bread

3 - Major General Bread

This amazing home made Dalek is in fact Garlic bread! Get it? Dalek Bread! Well joke asides this is a food source very much needed at any party let alone a Doctor Who one!

Dalek Pepperoni Pizza

2 – Lieutenant General

This amazing pizza doesn’t need a recipe or making guide, just a nice home-made pizza that is shaped and themed to perfection. This would go down rather well at a Doctor Who themed party.

Dalek Pie

Dalek Pie

1 - General Pie

I have no idea what is in it, or no idea what it is made from! But I know this…A Dalek pie is a very cool pie indeed and goes to show that you really don’t need to and art degree to make something Dalek shaped. Just a pie crust and a Dalek cookie cutter!

  1. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any ways to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d definitely appreciate it.

  2. Having read this I thought it was very enlightening. I appreciate you spending some time and effort to put this content together. I once again find myself spending a lot of time both reading and posting comments. But so what, it was still worth it!
